by "dropping improperly" I mean "spawns chainguns like no tommorow while keeping your own"Hellser wrote:Things of which Ryan has to fix, I don't handle the ACS.insightguy wrote:the explosive chaingun seems to drop improperly with grunt

Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
good luck with that!
Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
Interesting stuff, especially, when that railcannon fires wee bit faster. Fun times ahead and favorite weapon (boomer does good sum of damage, but I am too prone to killing myself with explosives), although I need to try some recoil mastery.
Question:
Are you gonna make hitscanners fire projectiles instead of instahit?
(Sometimes, it's just annoying when you can't shoot through broken lamp, while they can.)
Notes:
Revenant's seeking rockets won't change their altitude when crouching. It's quite game breaking sometimes, but it is still not totally reliable to make ring of revenant's rockets to shield you.
Also, gatling dude could use currently some range boost. There's certain range limit where they don't hit at all, few steps closer and suddenly, you take (partial) bullet barrage.
Barrels are good source of ammo for Hellraiser and Flamethrower. Too good, even. You can infinitely refill your slot 7 weapons (not thoroughly tested, but I've about thrice used barrel to fill out ammo to max. (Currently, it refills about, what, less than 50? (note to self: idiot.)))
Hmm... spawns an idea... what about giving once 100 ammo, and it can be picked up as mobile barricade? =P

Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
It is my plan to make it so that hitscan monsters shoot projectiles. Currently just handling everything else.
Also, that's weird. The Revenant missile [wiki=A_SeekerMissile]uses this[/wiki] with SMF_PRECISE, so it should take into account for you using crouching. Not much I can do else wise. . It's also generally not a good idea to have the Revenant's seeker missile chase you, since it does go faster over time.
Outside of that, I'll see what I can do with the barrels. The feature was designed for DooM's Episode 1-4 in mind. Given that DooM 2 uses barrels alot, it doesn't surprise me. Also given the fact too that you can use barrels as they were; use them to blow up hidden enemies.

We don't see the benefit of having this mod on ModDB. At all.TheUnbeholden wrote:woooo... you should add this to ModDB.

Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
Putting this on ModDB is similar to putting a Half-Life 2 mod on ZDoom. While there might be people who are vaguely interested in it there, the fact is it's not at all the intended audience, and the best case scenario is it'd be another place for people to drop inane and useless comments.
Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
Played some cchest4 with GSA and had a lot of fun with it. The blood effects (Aurora Blood System) are better than before.
There is just one thing that's a bit annoying, the Double Slugger and the Boomer are not widescreen friendly. Their graphics are cut off.

We play with 5:4 forced aspect ratio, this is something we don't plan on fixing any time soon, sorry.jimbob wrote:There is just one thing that's a bit annoying, the Double Slugger and the Boomer are not widescreen friendly. Their graphics are cut off.

Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
Genesis Saga Aurora has been updated with a more functional Flak Cannon! More updates in the future.
Re: [WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora
You guys picking this up again? Yay! Seems like forever from last update.

To keep from ripping each others throat out, we take breaks. Working on a collaboration with someone can be mentally draining.CorSair wrote:You guys picking this up again? Yay! Seems like forever from last update.
Not to mention too Ryan was yelling at me for a month telling me to finish the flak cannon.
