[WIP] Genesis Saga Aurora (GZDooM Edition)

Just curious. I never got the difference of each player class and each varying weapon set (ex. The sg, acid gun and the quake sg) Can you make a guide on the advantages and disadvantages of each weapon set?

Ryan said he'll work on that, since he's the one who has established the weapon 'grades'. More or less, there is a fast-firing, low damage weapon (Ion Rifle, Acidspitter, Gatling Gun), the 'Medium-speed, medium-power' range (Assault Rifle, MN Shotgun, Rotary Nailgun) and 'Slow-firing, heavy damage' (Precision Rifle, Hadron Gun, Storm Autocannon).

The acid spitter to me felt like "high damage, high ROF "

Three player classes so far, with Doomguy getting a possible impending nerf to only be limited to one class of weaponry (medium). Doomguy is bog-standard, however, is capable of using Hell Legion weapons to set him apart from his two squad mates.

Crash is a speed demon, a bit fragile at that, she also possesses the powerful ability to double jump.

Grunt is just massive wall of flesh, intent on taking enemies and pushing them away with his dash.

And yes, while many weapons follow the fast-weak, medium-medium, slow-powerful formula, there's some that completely deviate from it and go for something unique.

In this case, the Acidspitter barely does any raw damage. In fact, it has a stacking poison damage. Of which, my self and Ryan needs to tweak for each of the monsters. The Acidspitter also is great for area-of-denial.

We've switched to DropBox, considering GSA was doing well over 230+ revisions and each revision clocked in around 23+ mb.

Also, enjoy a fun little video of the Cyberdemonic Lord:

Looking really good so far Hellser and Ryan. So Tower of Babel is no longer required?

It is. Something that can't be avoided, sadly. Genesis Saga: Aurora uses a few features that is ToB-only. If it was possible, we'll use (G)ZDooM. But these features mentioned is to make a few things work without resorting to hacky ACS/DS methods.

A particular notorious ToB only feature are the new info-transfer pointers implemented for A_SpawnItemEx. Things such as TransferTid, TransferArgs, TransferSpecial and TransferPointers are all something that were exclusive to RandomSpawner before being ported over.

Because honestly, RandomSpawner sucks arse for what I needed. That weight system is annoying.

Hmm, allright - it looks really nice! But I'll be honest - the Egon-gun from Half-Life won my heart. I guess the locking on target was achieved with some long ranged melee-attack, but I am kinda curious how did you get that beam so neatly done. :P

EDIT:
Doh, sometimes I am so stupid. It was haunting me whole night - I forgot that railgun has now some new options to meddle around with it.

Genesis Saga: Aurora isn't dead! Far from it. Currently, we're working on a side project for GSA!

We're far from dead! GSA has been receiving massive updates while everyone was off talking about racism things that are 20% Cooler! Join into the fray as Mikhailov "Grunt" Baye, John "Doom" Grim or Amber "Crash" Hale in this epic updates of epic!

Okay, maybe not that epic. But still, we've updated GSA a lot while things were going on!
