Before ww-nazis there was Doom Does Deutschland. This mod has been sitting on my hard drive for a long time. Most of the stuff worth using in this mod ended up in ww-nazis and since then I haven't really worked on it, since, well, ww-nazis makes it obsolete.

This mod was originally made as a sequel to Axis and Abbadon (ww-ana) and is a lot cruder and simpler than ww-nazis. There's no reloading, no silky smooth animation, and no fastprojectiles. Welcome to hitscan hell, folks. Enjoy your stay. On the plus side, since there is no reloading you can stunlock many enemies with the MP40 or StG 44. This mod was always a secondary concern, even though it did get a video on YouTube, and never really received the attention I gave to Mutiny or Ballistics. I decided it would be a shame to just delete it, so I've dug it up and released it with a credits file for you guys. That's about all the support I'm willing to give for it. Please don't upload this to /idgames.

If you thought ww-nazis wasn't Doomy enough, this definitely looks, feels, and plays more like Doom. There's not much in the way of recoil, fancy effects, etc. here.

So enjoy, and watch out for any dust, cobwebs, or roaches you may find in here.

Oh wow I could've sworn I saw a gameplay video of this a while ago. It feels like an old DEH mod in a way, like you said in your post very "Doomy". I'll try it out with Wolfendoom it looks like it'll mix with it better than WildWeasel's mod does.

Basically the way ww-nazis started was that WW was working on a patch for Epic 2 with a bunch of new weapons. There was to my knowledge the .357, M1897 trench gun, super shotgun, MP40, Pyrolight, AK-47, and I forget what the BFG was replaced with. Eventually he had the idea of replacing all the zombies with nazis. I had been working on Doom Does Deutschland, and essentially most of DDD's actors were taken and put into this mod, and then the bullet projectiles from Axis and Abbadon were added in a much more refined form. It sort of grew from there. DDD was also used as a base to make an abortive update of the WolfenDoom Spear of Destiny scenario. It was to have detailed levels and a bunch of other features. The gameplay, HUD, and some other elements were more or less finished, but the maps never materialized. It was fun to play, but I kind of got bored just adding eye candy to maps I've already played thirteen thousand times in their original form.

Oddly enough I have more trouble in many cases playing ww-nazis than playing this, despite the hitscan insanity here.

i just tried this & it does feel very doomy which something that'll keep you hooked i just wanted too tell anybody who wants reloading and want more tactical style play ww-nazis
