While Doom Expanded was designed to enhance Doom with minimal changes to core gameplay, Doom Expanded Lite takes a far more minimalist approach as to be compatible with partial conversions like Zen Dynamics, Hell to Pay, and of course, Knee-Deep in ZDoom.
Here's what you can expect from this mod:
-A trimmed down version of Nashgore, focusing on blood effects and crushed bodies.
-Liquid warping effects.
-Enhanced Decaldefs.
-Inclusion of njsplash terrain effects.
-Various other minor tweaks and fixes.
It may not seem like much, but this is meant to be as compatible with as many wads as possible by having enhancements that did not interfere with base resources

Autoload'd forever.
Re: [RELEASE] Doom Expanded Lite
This is a pretty nice little compilation of effects, and I like how it's simple enough to work with just about anything.
Still, you should really include some sort of textfile crediting the original authors for their work (unless it's already in the .pk3, although I couldn't see it). Nash, Enjay, and Corwin's work is readily apparent, and I know I've seen those modified bullet decals somewhere before as well. Can't leave 'em out, now.

Done. DE Lite is now in a zip and contains a credits.txt file containing the mods I used and a special thanks to those who contributed in some fashion or another.Xaser wrote:This is a pretty nice little compilation of effects, and I like how it's simple enough to work with just about anything.

There will be something like this for the normal Expanded, just not until the final release. This also goes for the official text file.
