Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
What confuses me, then, in that case, is why the German soldiers in Call of Duty 2 have battle chatter relating to them when no Italians appear in the entire game. There isn't even an Italy campaign in that game - I don't think any of the Call of Duty games had one, in fact!

Holy shit, you are right. And that's absurd seeing that a major battle did in fact take place in Italy between the Allies and the German Wehrmacht Heer at Cassino.wildweasel wrote:What confuses me, then, in that case, is why the German soldiers in Call of Duty 2 have battle chatter relating to them when no Italians appear in the entire game. There was another question, what made you choose a .357 magnum over a Colt 1911?The 1911 was standard military issue for at least 100 years. Was it a balance issue?

Lack of centered M1911 sprites and visual clarity would be my guess.Captain Proof wrote:There was another question, what made you choose a .357 magnum over a Colt 1911?The 1911 was standard military issue for at least 100 years. Was it a balance issue?

Hm, I could have sworn I saw some floating around somewhere. I actually thought that there was a 1911 in one of his old EDGE wads.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
Not so much that, as revolvers are just cooler. Plus it also does make sense, in that some American soldiers were actually issued these revolvers. Never mind that this one fires .45ACP instead of .357 magnum...we'll call that artistic license.TheDarkArchon wrote:Lack of centered M1911 sprites and visual clarity would be my guess.Captain Proof wrote:There was another question, what made you choose a .357 magnum over a Colt 1911?The 1911 was standard military issue for at least 100 years. Was it a balance issue?

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
I'm curious how that revolver would've shot .357 anyway when it clearly supports .45 and .357 didn't even *exist* until 17 years after its introduction.
.38 special, maybe. .357? Doubt it, considering its age.

Oh well, maybe BJ just has a prototype model of a .357, seeing that he is in OSS and all.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
I think he's referring to the fact that the revolver in question was introduced in 1917.

I know, says that the .357 cal was designed in 1934 but the actual revolver was only available for private purchase.(that's what I am reading at least)wildweasel wrote:I think he's referring to the fact that the revolver in question was introduced in 1917.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
Well, JoeyTD has made the Luger Sprites already... will you make another version with a Luger in it? :3
P.S I love this mod!

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
One thing that I noticed is that the sprites used to see the characters shooting sideways are missing. The characters ONLY have shooting frames towards the player. This can be quite an inconvenience for infighting or even COOP and forget about making "friendly" nazis.
Has anybody noticed this ?

Uh... why did you copy/paste this into two topics?
Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
Sorry, since this was the same issue for the same thing, I just wanted to be sure that someone noticed could give an opinion, specially Mr. Wildweasel.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
I doubt anything's going to be done about that:
- Most users don't even know ZDoom suppots multiplayer.
- Users that do generally understand reason 1, so it isn't really worth it.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS [finished!]
Nazis was designed from the start as a single-player experience. Co-op support is basically in the "would be nice" category but I really doubt it'll happen anytime soon.
