Thinking about this, wouldn't the eye stay in because the imp is being held back? If the imp was leaning forward the eye would be dropping out, but back it would still be pressed against the back part (or if that is gone than the eye would fall out the back. An eyeball falling away from the head could be odd too, the imp would have to be leaning to the side more. Think of it as a container, it is still being held as doomguy hold's the imp. Perhaps it would be better as the player throws the body towards an enemy to have the eye fly out of the imp, as it would be rotating and thus allow for the eye to escape?
