Macbeth Doom [Released]

Macbeth Doom [Released]

Post by Ral22 »

A while ago, I had to do a video project for school, consisting of a scene from William Shakespeare's Macbeth (Act 4 Scene 1, to be exact.) and I got permission to do it in Doom.

After about 3 weeks, I presented it, and my teacher actually liked it. I thought I would upload it and share it with everyone.

Here it is:
http://files.drdteam.org/index.php/file ... acbeth.zip

It's just a titlemap, so there's actually no playing involved. If you watch it, be sure to give me some feedback, please.

P.s.- It works in both GZDoom and ZDoom, but I like it in ZDoom more, soley for better visuals (The cave is much darker, and there's no sprite clipping).

...that was awesome.

I call for, and volunteer for, the noble and necessary Zhakezpeare Community Project. Let's do this. We can start with A Midsummer Night's Dream amirite

Okay let's do this, I nominate myself to be "Crowd" in every play. Actually it'd probably be better if I stuck to mapping, someone's gotta do the setting :P

Are you serious Ventris? "Noble and Necessary"? If you say so. Glad you enjoyed it though.

Okay, the 'Noble and Necessary' part might have been sarcastic, but it would be kind of neat to take the time to do an entire play like you did in ZDoom, just for the Lulz. Good stuff.

Just the first act? What a gip! :p

You forgot Rogue Studio for the graphics (Strife peasant), as well as Eric "Eriance" Ou (KDiZD nightmare).

You know what would be even cooler - a translation to the heretic/hexen/doom game universes.
