[WIP] Doom's Inferno (Limbo Demo, first page)

Post by JMAA »

UPDATE:
I uploaded a Limbo sort of demo to just let you test it. Basically, by that way, I can know several difficulty issues by the general public.
Download demo!
(Needs latest SVN of GZDoom, and Doom 2 obviously)

Hey guys, I was just working out on a project around and I'd say I will share the proof with you.
This is some pack of ZDoom maps, which resemble the Dante Alighieri's masterpiece "The Divine Comedy", specially the "Inferno" part. For now I have the screens of the first level or "Canto", Limbo. I have done right now unto the Limbo's boss, King Minos, and there's already a Charon ship that does the job of a blood trial to pass to Minos himself.
The pack also resembles the upcoming game from Visceral Games which I'm awaiting so much: Dante's Inferno.
They for now have generic resources as you see, Gothic textures, Realm667 monsters, etc. But at least has a bit of eyecandy on it, like fire effects, better Doom projectiles... I'll be sincere, yes, I got them from Beautiful Doom sort of resource.
Feel free to comment on these shots.

Any quick resource for that so I can rip them easy? I don't think I'd really need Whichaven to get those, there's already (methinks) tons of wads about Witchaven monsters around, but I don't know which of them to pick.

Oh.
I thought there were a few around, but those were something with crap-DECORATE.
Well, I'll see about it. Doesn't sound bad anyways.

The architecture looks good enough, but what really interests me is your true identity. There's something behind that mask of yours, and I believe I know what it is. =P

I've now seen your screen of Witchaven, and I don't know about goblins, but there are several setting monsters around that game.
I'll manage to rip some nasty graphics from there and I'll manage to add them to the whole thing.

I'm sorry if I replied late, my netcard has some issues that need restarting.
And yes, you got me. Juan "JacKThERiPPeR". What? Is it something bad to have been one certain "nasty" individual?
Now things to explain: first, I really apologize the last time I was around with the other account, that was truly stupid and childish, and even if that doesn't promise anything, things have changed. I'll really, if I can say it, and you'll excuse me for this, not make the same mistakes I've made before. I even limited myself to this Projects forum here, other than the other ones.
Also, I've became a furry. Yes, that sounds rude, but I personally like the furry fandom so much I appreciate being one of them. I've made music around FurAffinity and some art (though something would be NSFW).
Sum up: time changes things, and they're always proved.
Peace.

I think you should've stopped after "my netcard has some issue that need restarting". :|

The maps looks a bit bland. Lot's of very...repetitive texture use. Maybe add some variation on those walls there.

welcome back for a new try JMAA :P hope you succeed with getting a better rep this time.

as a little hint for your new start, removing the stuff about the furries in your post would probably make you more welcome //hint hint

The map is rough, but doesn't mean I'm done with it. I need some time before I start with Lust.

I can't say anything about it, I'm proud of being one.

He means the ASHWALLs and TANROCKs repeating themselves around the level. I'll be sure to fill that around.
