So it's basically AEOD but with deathmatch support. The fact that he lists it as a standalone game (though he says it requires a doom2.wad to run) is not terribly convincing of its quality either...

Yeah, I understand your skepticism. Though I have tried it, and although certain classes are surely more sketched than others weapons-wise, I got an overall impression of solid coding and good feel. Just figured out I'd let others know about it... Of course, time will tell! :)

Don't know if this is the place, but i'd like to ask: is there any "dark" conversion for the standard Doom I and II? The walls feels too light to be scary and all.

Easy, turn down the brightness and contrast :D (seriously though, I'm not too sure).

I'll meddle with that, even though they are all set to default. But the closest to making these creepier that I got was using UD3

There's Defconrazor's texture "recolors" that look really dark and gloomy, if that's what you're looking for.

Hideous Destructor if you are a masochist.

Can you give me a link for that?

Hopefully he intends on porting it to Heretic, always wanted to try out Grondoval(Witchaven) in that setting. I just can't get into the whole mashup thing.

EDIT 3:
NVM, I just found Heretic Confliction which solves my previous comment.

There is an old weapon mod called alandoguns you can try out. No GLDEFs included with it but there is a good amount of enemies and weapons to try out.

Anyone suggest any good Hud Mods? Looking for a hud like Project MSX.

Umm~~
How do i explain this....Most mods i've been playing lately are yours X_X
And on a totally unrelated topic, Polaris and Shinobi are my personal faves. You did quite an amazing job with them, IMO~

Thanks a lot! :D Glad you liked them!
Not wanting to steer too much from the focus of the thread anyway... So here's another:

http://doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=16674

Basically, that's a pure DeHackEd version of PerKristian's smoother weapon animations, made by 40Oz. Nice if you want to somehow preserve the pure feel of Vanilla weapons - on a side note, makes these finally usable on, say, PRBOOM+ too! :)
Somebody might want to add that to the first post, together with the other versions...
