The only Doom-Horror-Mod I know is Ghouls Forest, but that's a joke-wad, more or less.

It was... For the first and second iteration. The third one was well more refined and meant to be challenging.TheBadHustlex wrote:The only Doom-Horror-Mod I know is Ghouls Forest, but that's a joke-wad, more or less.
Also, Nash was working on a project that fits your description, i dunno if he finished it, though.
Oh, and, maybe the Army of Darkness TC could be good for you, as well.

Then looks like you've never played Last Light.TheBadHustlex wrote:The only Doom-Horror-Mod I know is Ghouls Forest, but that's a joke-wad, more or less.
Re: Cool mods people might have missed.
Depends what you mean by "horror". I'd say that an invasion of demonic entities from hell that pervert our reality and torture, murder and maim everyone that they come across is pretty horrific. So, that means almost all Doom mods qualify.
Re: Cool mods people might have missed.
I'm looking for a TC or megawad with urban-styled maps ala Duke3D. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Re: Cool mods people might have missed.
Doom 2 Reloaded, Hellbound, and Hellcore 2.0 all have some good city maps, although none of them exclusively focus on this type of level.

Batman Doom's download links are dead on the official site, I'm sure. I would use the Doomworld mirrors: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?file= ... batman.zip http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?file= ... batman.zipniculinux wrote:Also don't forget that Batman Doom TC for doom2!!
Download and screenshots at homepage!
Plus, it's known to not work properly with ZDoom. Evil Space Tomato was working on a patch for ZDoom, though! Check out his thread here: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=32722&p=620307

The Batman Doom page offered a DeHackEd file to get it to run properly. Does anyone have that, and how much additional compatibility does it add?

It's still downloadable on AtomicGamer! http://www.atomicgamer.com/files/2039/zdoomfix-zipDoomRater wrote:The Batman Doom page offered a DeHackEd file to get it to run properly. Does anyone have that, and how much additional compatibility does it add?
But here's a link to it from my site too: http://gam.thewaitingroom.org/doom/zdoomfix.zip
Edit: AtomicGamer link is dead. Link on my site updated.

Does anyone have Doom Plus? From this link http://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/4 ... lance-mod/
Re: Cool mods people might have missed.
I am looking for Zdoom hud which replicates looks and functionality of Boom/Eternity Engine graphical hud. That means color of numerals of gauges are affected by their values. Is there any? Thanks for any advice.

There's an almost exact replica of the Boom/Eternity hud here: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=35146patrik wrote:I am looking for Zdoom hud which replicates looks and functionality of Boom/Eternity Engine graphical hud. Re: Cool mods people might have missed.
I appreciete your help, but that is not what I am looking for. Hud you recommended me looks like default minimal hud of Boom and Eternity...There's an almost exact replica of the Boom/Eternity hud here: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=35146
But in my mind I have alternate variation of it (called "graphical hud" in Eternity).
It changes colors of health, armor and ammo digits according to their values. Something similar like Zdoom alternative hud does, but I am looking for it in form of custom made mod which could be furtherly modified for other purposes.
New Megawad "Going Down"
It's so good I have to advertise it. Play it now.
