Cybersweeper 2

Post by Isle »

its like minesweeper for doom!
idea borrowed from eternal doom.
use a crate to open it, shoot it to flag it. secondary fire switches between minimap, fullscreen, and none.

It's possible to not lose if you're good at circle strafing dispite hitting every mine space.

Now that is some A+ ACS.

It's a little different when you're down there, I must admit. This is the way Minesweeper should be played. :)

I have to agree with Foxy here.

A classic with a classic twist!

The thing that blows me away is the small "map".
There's no limit to the imagination!!!

Man this is awesome.
I managed to avoid the Cyberdemon. Eventually the 3 cyberdemons spotted me and killed me while I was standing next a box. :P

The only thing I can really think of is replacing the mine icon on the mini map with a cyberdemon icon of some sort.

If I had a suggestion to make, it would be changing the floor texture of mine-free cells by one with the number. I think it would be clearer than the mid-textures. Or maybe at least just by the color (red for one, green for two, etc.).

Fun. Although i found that i was using the minimap like all the time because.
Awesome minimap btw... Is it possible for it to show proper map stuff like floors, sectors, etc? would be awesome.

As for suggestion, I'd say clear squares should rather spawn a thing with one sprite, so its totally visible from all sides, instead of raised textures.

Finally tried this out, pretty cool =) I like the suggestion of having the ground show the number instead of just having the floating number. Also, maybe the floating number should be closer to eye level?

In widescreen, the second hud map (the one in the middle of the screen) looks vertically squished compared to the other hud map.

I think you should do Conway's Life next =)
