Higher filesize, and for those of us (for one reason or another) downloading at 2-8 kbps, the compression makes a difference.

But how can i know that someone has a low connection speed?? :|
Btw, if things are like that, i'll upload my files zipped so, the people can download them in a minor time...

It's a simple courtesy to put things in zip files.

You can't know, but it is a reasonable assumption that if you are making a file public, someone will have a slow connection. For example, your BoneMaster reduces in size by approximately 1MB when you zip it. I remember when I was on dialup, 1 MB can make quite a difference in download time and could sway a decision of whether to download or not. Zipping your files makes them smaller, which makes them more accessible to more people.

I decided I didn't need the keybind after all. Progress is going well, then. I just need to do those simple modifications I was talking about.

I guess this is against the rules, but say if I made a 3d model and made them into decent sprites (and not hires either), would you accept it? I'd love to boot up 3dsmax to make something.

Most propably not but it is a question of how it turns out. If it gets touched up a bit to fit to the Doom sprites, just try it,

I'm not a Judge, but taking a look at the creations, i saw that Jimmy's creation is the most impressive.....
It looks like playing on GZPowerslave  (GZpowerslave doesn't exist, though) if you know what i mean.

The monster is by no means meant to replicate the behavior of the original Powerslave monster. :P I've never played the game, nor can I find any gameplay videos on YouTube that even mention the monster. Glad you like it, anyway. Sure took me many tries and fails to get 99% perfect. ;)

EDIT: Shit, make that 98% perfect. I only just realized that one of the Fire Drake's attacks (in which it launches multiple homing fireballs) is completely invisible. I wondered why I was taking damage so much. :grumpy:

I will have this corrected shortly.

Okay, done. http://www.speedyshare.com/604516355.html
While I was at it I reduced the amount of damage done by the sparks produced by the fire that spawns when a large comet hits something.

By the way, the 3DRealms fire sprites I included with this monster were edited by some other people (I think it's Eriance for the flame sprites and Tormentor667 for the explosion sprites). Whoever recolored those for the Doom palette needs to be added under Sprite Edit for the credits.

Also, let me just clarify - the sprites I used for the comets and trails were done by Nanami alone, right? They're not from Powerslave or anything? As far as I know, they were brand new when she submitted the Afrit to the ZDCMP/MRW (whichever was first).

@Jimmy91
Okay, okay, that's all right, 1% doesn't change things so much :laff:
Also, it's normal failing when someone is making a monster like that! I'd need more than a week to make something similar XD

Btw, here's a new creation.. the LIzard warrior....
Not so complicated but i had fun making it with casings and the "motion blur" when he's shooting :D
