There's still nothing there since every control are all set except for the strife ones in mine (I'm running patch v5.28).

In fact the Aeons of Death controls section have completely disappeared since I checked the previous versions their all there unlike the latest patch.

Okay, I have solved the weapon slot problem but I ran into another problem....everytime I try to select a character, it just automatically switches back to "Random" almost every time I exit out of the player options.

Are you running at least the Oct 10th revision of Zdoom's SVN?

Take note of DBT's current zdoom SVN version. This'll be the last time I say it. You need that or greater.

I have the same problem with choosing the character class, and I'm using the GZDoom revision released yesterday.

I just figured out why too... I hadn't seen the revision which said that the parsing of character selections is to be placed under the mapinfo lump from now on.

It wasn't really intended but it's kinda nice because you never know who you're going to be next and the gameplay is modified each time (more so than usual obviously).

Actually it didn't work as well as I thought... I have no idea how to use the new system, so in order to prevent me from breaking it even further I modified it so it displays all the classes when you go to start a single player game. That fixed it for me (commenting out the NOMENU flag in keyconf for your guys' version)

Actually, this seems to be a gzdoom bug, since it doesnt happen on zdoom.

I fixed it by removing the NOMENU flag under the keyconf and now it magically works again... It allows class selection at least when you go to start a new game. *sigh*

The random character option always being selected? Happens to me in Zdoom, latest SVN.

Strangely true. In revision 2915(2920) this didnt happen. Recurring bug?

EDIT: or not? Apparently it happens also in that revision... weird. Anyway, I reported the bug already.

Can't really say much here except that I'm missing from the credits for the recurring static smoke sprites and rotating torch flames. :P
