Dawn of Reality - new version release

Post by Reinchard2 »

After 3 long years I'm finally finish this map. I hope most of you can play this with good framerate. Have fun and let me know your opinion (maybe someone can record a demo so I can learn more about gameplay on this map).

GZDoom Settings: Dynamic lights intensity must be 0.5 and light size 1.0, Precache GL texture MUST be set to ON before you play first time. High Quality resize mode MUSt be OFF. Lighting Mode mus be "dark".

I saw this on Doomworld (and wadsinprogress I think), it looks fantastic. How big is it so far (filesize)? It would certainly make an interesting deathmatch level :P

as echoed above, really awesome screenshots

now my question is, will this be fun to play? question stemming from the fact that most realistic maps suffer from bad gameplay

it is possible that it will have good gameplay and thats what im hoping for, but well find out when its done

Hopefully he'll (she'll?) release a beta testing of this map soon to test out the gameplay and have more feedback on it.

This'll be worth playing for the look alone I think.

That was pretty cool. It reminds me of a prettier, brighter version of one of the city maps from Hellcore 2. I hope it won't be as boring as that.

another thing that occurred to me was that you should make a constant flow of enemies into the map to keep it interesting. i;d hate to have to walk through large areas i've cleared and have nothing to do...

heh, i've posted on this at DRDTeam, Doomworld, and now here. heh. i need a life.
