[Resource] Giant Squid Boss

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

[Resource] Giant Squid Boss

Post by Cutmanmike »

Anyone remember those screens/videos I posted a while back with that giant squid?

The above link was a secret hidden in Zportal, but because hardly anyone actually bothered to play through it, a very small amount of people found it, and those who did most likely cheated. So screw the secrecy, here. Take him.

Even bigger than the Stone Golem, this thing will require some serious space. The test map he comes with is quite cramped, but it adds to the challenge. Careful though, he's a very tough and unforgiving boss. His tentacles are all separate entities that can fire fiery ink blasts at you and wipe you out easily. Killing the tentacles will give you less to worry about. The Squid's "head" fires out electric orbs which spew out more orbs that dance around and damage you. He has quite a bit of health but there's enough ammo on the map to take him down.

Btw this was one of my first model 2 sprite conventions so he looks a bit bland. Ask for permission before using it, or at least mention me in your txt file if for SOME reason you wanna use him.

Extra credit goes to Enjay for the skybox.

This boss is pretty friggin' bad ass though. How long did it take for you to make it?

This was years ago so I can't honestly remember. The model was fairly easy to make though.

His ink-fireball-combo things can't hit you when you strafe along the large slope in the southern portion of the map. Making him fairly easy. :(

Yes... Well no. The map on that was made by one of my friends who abandoned the internet ship long ago, so I started using his unreleased work. But yeah it's the same thing. The real rig actually has more to it but it was unfinished.

Then I would submit that you did not, in fact, beat him. :P
