If you get the following error when trying to play this mod:

Code: Select all

Script error, "SBARINFO" line 66:
Expected ';' but got ',' instead.
The fix is below.

Randy has confirmed (as I suspected) that my SBARINFO is no longer working due an intentional change to the code between SVN revisions. That's the risk I took when releasing something based on an unofficial version of Zdoom. Zdoom 2.2.0 is now official and the standard for SBARINFO is, presumably, set.

I'm really not in a position to re-upload the whole mod so for anyone who might want the fix provided for them in an (I hope) easy format, grab the following file:

http://www.zen64060.zen.co.uk/zzfix.wad

That tiny WAD contains nothing more than a fixed SBARINFO. I called it zzfix.wad to deliberately place it at the end of any file loading methods that sort things alphabetically. That way, in most cases, it should be the last file loaded - which means that it will overwrite the SBARINFO in the main PK3.

I just tried 2 things:

1) I selected the original project PK3 and the fix wad and dropped them on to GZdoom. GZdoom started no bother.

2) I put the fix WAD into the main PK3 and loaded that and, again, GZdoom started no bother.

You can, of course, load it from the command line, or using a launcher. Just make sure it gets loaded after njbgpabh.pk3

Finally, the more adventurous amongst you can extract burghead.wad from njbgpabh.pk3, transfer the SBARINFO from zzfix.wad into burghead.wad and then put burghead.wad back into the pk3.

Enjay's fix file (zzfix.wad) is also mirrored at DooM Nexus, along with the original zip. For now, the file is a stand-alone that needs to be run on the command line along with the main pk3 file. Later, depending on what Nigel wants, I may incorporate the fix into the pk3 so that there's just one file to run.

Might as well- the reason for the fix is official in ZDoom/GZDoom.

Yeah, ReX PM'd me about this and if he's happy to go ahead and apply the fix, then I'm happy for him to do it.

I have incorporated Enjay's SBARINFO fix into the Burghead wad, and have re-uploaded the zip file to DooM Nexus. This version is primarily intended for those people that have not already downloaded the original, which became available on January 31 (or for those that might want the most up-to-date version). Here's a link to the new file. The minor fix (i.e., zzfix.wad) is still available for those that downloaded the original, do not want to re-download the new version, but have not yet downloaded the fix.

Nigel, perhaps you should either change the Subject Heading of this post to reference this page (instead of Page 4), or edit the download link on Page 4 to point to the correct file.

Thank you. And good point about the thread title. Title changed, first post edited, link removed from page 4.

Cool. That's all I can say of it.

I already found Duke Nukem's tank, in the Road to Burghead level. It had the Duke3d logo in it's back :P.

It's from the DN3D High Resolution Pack so that isn't very suprising.
