[WIP] Happy Time Circus 2

Post by shtbag667 »

I've been working on a project for the last year or so on and off. Its a sequel to some level I made called happy time circus. The project is composed of a large single player level which is just about ready for some playtesting. DM levels may be added in the future.

My current plan is to do a few runs through the level myself to make sure theres nothing obviously wrong from a gameplay standpoint and then offer the wad for playtesting. This may take a while since the level is big.

The level may run slow on older computers. At the moment, the map has over 5000 sectors and 9500 things. This wasn't intentional but rather was the result of not knowing when to stop. It runs about the same as grovealt.wad.

I can change things around, add new enemies and weapons, ect, so playtesters should feel free to provide comments and ideas.
A few screenshots, I don't know why they look so dark:

The first happy time circus was really good actually... well most of it... The start really gets you in the horror flick mood but the later part (balloon swatting gameplay) was kinda lame. Looking forward too this one! (mainly cause apparently the first was inspired by my ghoul wad)

Hey I was wondering if someone was doing this or not :) I did enjoy the creepiness of the first one, and I can't wait to see this one released!

I'm glad people are looking forward to it. I think its ready for some playtesting if anyone is interested. Its about 26 megs unzipped, 17.5 zipped. I'm not sure if I can email it as an attachment in hotmail or yahoo though.

I'd help test, but I'm too taciturn to be of any help. Can't wait until it's finished, as I've been wondering about this project since I first heard of it.

It's funny that you mention grove as I think this mode combines Grove with The Ghoul's Forest.

Clearly not, else something new would've been posted by now.
