They look pretty nice. However, I'd keep circle and the crossing-out-line in the second image the same as in the first.
But I think I'll use them. Thanks, you'll get credited!

I'll probably edit them. But such graphics are not my major concern right now. Those belong in the polishment-layer, which comes after the "make everything kinda work"-phase.

Not sure how many here care, but I think I need a break of everything. Ill be gone for a bit, because of very certain problems of mine. If you really wanna know what it is, read the spoiler, but it may make you never talk to me again. It just satisfies my need of sharing problems, thats why its there.
Spoiler:
Nothing of this has anything to do with anything from this forum, just if youre wondering. You are actually the most OK of all.

Thanks! Now, that I'm finally doing Chapter 3, it's gonna be a lot easier to make a map. First of all, you can use imps, hell knights, and other doom-monsters and their derivates. Secondly, you don't need to worry about user variables that keep track of certain events in the map, and you don't have to care about connecting the maps together.

I believe I may finish the last chapter in about 3 months. Then, I'll have to literally fix 10 pages of bugs in the open world. And then I'll have to test chapter 3. And THEN it will be time for beta-testing.

Alright. People, I have a problem.
I've played through this entire thing the last days. As far as you can get, at least. And I realized something:

The textures are inconsistant. Some are too realistic, some are not. They are all just jumbled together.
The weapons feel kinda beefy, but they are, ultimately, not fun to use, at least 50% of them. The way they work is unsuitable for a game like this. Some are just so stupid. I went "quantity over quality".
Yes, you can upgrade them, enchant them and god knows what. But they don't optically change, except for when you magic-fy them. Upgrading feels unsatisfying, too. The altfires suck. I did not manage to come up with interesting ones for most weapons. The magic effects are just awkward, gameplaywise. They sound good, but don't feel like they add anything but annoyance to the gameplay.
The sounds of the weapons are inconsistant, as well as their graphics. Same for the monsters. A lot of them just look out of place, taken from some other game that has a completely different look. A lot of monsters are repetitive, there are far not enough of them to make the gameplay vary a lot because of them. Some maps have 3 different enemies at best. I can simply not come up with any monsters any more. I can't. And if I do, I have no graphics for it. Then, I use graphics from a game that has a completely different look than Doom, and then it's getting inconsistant and starts looking like crap.
A lot of the maps play badly. They are one of the following: "Peak out, shoot, get cover, repeat for five times and progress", "Too easy", "Impossible to beat".
As mentioned, many of them don't nearly have enough different enemies inside. Many monsters have repetitive attacks that sometimes don't even fit the map-design very well.
The bosses suck. They are anti-climactic and repetitive, and I seriously don't know how else to make them.
The quests are: Bring Item xxx to Dude xxx. The dialogues are awkward. I can't write a variety of characters.
Ponies. Why the fuck are they in there. They make no sense. All they do is making the game more cringey.
The menus are awkward to handle. Controlling them with a keyboard feels so weird. Especially when you use ZSDF-Dialogues in the same game.
And the list goes on.

You get the point: It Sucks. It's practically unfixably bad. Fixing all these issues would take longer then creating a new game from scratch.
Yes. It has all the functions and gameplay elements described in the startpost. And they work, kinda. But they all don't help to solve the issues above. They are just sprinkles on a big piece of dump.
So I officially decided to abandon this project.

I've been noticing this since the last month, but never actually realized it until a week ago: I'm not having fun working on it any more. I thought it would get better with the next chapter, but it only got more obvius.
The map you see up there: It was not fun do do. I did not enjoy it. As well as most of the other content done last month. Mostly, because I slowly realized for what it is: A patchwork of incoherrent resources, duct-taped together, not working together at all. Fundamental problems everywhere.
Besides, the mod's reputation is as low as you can go. Rightfully so: What can you expect from something like the first edition of this? It deserves that. No matter how good it will be, it won't get rid of that image. If the map in the posts above was for a normal Doom Map, I'd be proud of it. Now, I'm not. I can't.
I can't watch the playthroughs of the demo (yes, they exist) without cringing because the game just sucks so badly. It's so damn stupid and dumb. I can't believe I made this. Why I thought it would get better after 3 years of dumping inconsistant content into an even worse Grezzo2-clone, believing it would turn out nicely, I don't know.

I know there are many people that would love to see this thing getting finished, and that are probably very disappointed now.

Here. Have it. This is RD in it's current form. You'll notice tons of bugs in every map. Also, you'll have tons of texture- and sprite errors. There was still so much lewd stuff in there. Even when I was working on it, I could not find anything to replace it with. If that doesn't say everything, I don't know. I didn't even properly keep track of the sources I took stuff from. You'll see that in the credit-file. Another point to how badly organized this entire thing is.
If you play this now, you'll most likely see it as a joke. But I can not blame you. I spent 3 years developing it, but it just ended up as something that can not be given any dignity, at least not from my side.

I am so sorry for disappointing you on this. You wanted to see a project like the one in the startpost, but the truth is: I'm not the right one to make something like this. I thought I could, but if it turns out like this, I don't think I am the right one to make something this big.
Thank you for all your support throughout the years of this project. Thank you for your fulfilled resource-requests (Thanks to Zanieon for making a custom skybox), your feedback and your help in the "How do I do..."-Thread.

I'll go on with my life. Go write a book about fictional serial killers, maybe. Have that in my head for quite some time now.
I may do something Doom-Related somewhen, but not in the close future.

...Very unexpected. But i understand you, making mods about satirical like this is not an easy work, plus with grand weapons, stories and other fancy features. Also, unpleasant fans matters.

And no, you are not worthy to progress such mod, and no need to worry about people's judging. This mod is yours and you worked on it for YEARS. you just can listen to their opinions and keep progress and push through whatever you like!

Besides, it's almost getting done. It's so close so you could finish it in this year. But are you sure about this?

I could finish it in this year, that's true. But right now, I have to literally force myself to open GZDoombuilder and keep building maps for it.
I played through it, and it was just no fun most of the time. Sure, I don't have the element of exploration, because I know where everything is, of course. But only a few things in this game felt remoteley rewarding, fun or pleasant to play.
I thought that the bizarreness of this entire thing would add to it's style, but it really does not. Not in my eyes, at least. It feels like a huge, big, stupid joke-wad, despite all the gameplay-elements in there. It's just too stupid to be treated like an actual game, and not just a joke.

I may pick it up again at some point. This will probably happen somewhen.
It does make me sad, still. Seeing how much effort I put in there, and how it turned out, I'm questioning whether I should really do something this big. There are just so many problems with it that I may as well start a new thing entirely. The cringeworthy, terrible maps of the first chapter, the boring monsters and bosses, repetitive quests and badly designed maps...
It just fails on so many levels.

But thank you for your interest in it. Like I said, I may continue it somewhen. Like you said, I worked years on it. It dies hurt me to give up on it, but I just can not work on it any more.

So you are basically having the same sudden clarity of mod consistence as i had back in 2012 with my first project, i dropped Doom Reinforced for most of the same reasons you pointed there, my main reason was the sprite salad with the weird mix of the first 3D models i touched to edit and animate.

My recommendation to you is to really start a new one completely with new ideas and other style to it and surely when you look to it at a good stage of development you will want look the past and think "this was so shitty at the beggining but was worth the effort" because after this conflict of ideas you will not derail it all that much again.

This makes me say that every day i remember all the weirdness and stupid ideas i made in the past with Hunter's Moon every time i look at its progression, the mod's past is not pleasing to see and i regret many things i tried make on it but surely it was alot more consistent in gameplay and visual terms than Doom Reinforced.

Very longie long reply time, hope i said correctly:

If you have time to spare or to do, you just can mapping anytime. You actually don't have to force yourself to work on this mod.
I played through it, and it was just no fun most of the time. Sure, I don't have the element of exploration, because I know where everything is, of course. But only a few things in this game felt remotely rewarding, fun or pleasant to play.
Large Maps, ponies and furs in this mod gave me a fun time and laugh, though. Yet i've had no gripes about it whatsoever. But i guess it depends on the how the players think about this mod.
I thought that the bizarreness of this entire thing would add to it's style, but it really does not. Not in my eyes, at least. It feels like a huge, big, stupid joke-wad, despite all the gameplay-elements in there. It's just too stupid to be treated like an actual game, and not just a joke.
Even though it's a joke wad, it actually can be good, fun and successful. And don't think jokewads are horrible and just for fun, check this thread out for example. And yes, this mod has own unique style as well.
I may pick it up again at some point. This will probably happen somewhen.
It does make me sad, still. Seeing how much effort I put in there, and how it turned out, I'm questioning whether I should really do something this big. It just fails on so many levels.
You can tweak and fix such problems with doom map or script editors, right? you still can handle those problems by improving them again. And if you think they are fine to go, it is alright!... And yes, it takes time but at least better than giving up.
But thank you for your interest in it. Like I said, I may continue it somewhen. Like you said, I worked years on it. It dies hurt me to give up on it, but I just can not work on it any more.
My two cents; Revive this soon or do it all over again. It's your choice, and Hope you can decide well.

I'll be waiting, all the time. So good luck!
