Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
Looking for help!
I am currently having major problems trying to edit the scipts for the maps with shop owners, I edited the KSSC3 example which was for MAP02 (thank you for making my job a tad easier
) but sadly the conversation with Rowan (the first guy you should talk to, the one who ask you to kill that one dude and needs the ring as proof he's dead) doesn't work correctly, and I didn't even touch it
So if anyone has the skill to re-write the scripts, and upload them all for me, I'd greatly be thankful
It'd be nice if the script wasn't compiled, and you don't have to worry about the shop owners refering to the old guns, I could easily edit that

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
You'd have to modify the ConversationID values for the weapons if you want that. Every old weapon in Strife has it's own ConversationID value and you can use those in the newer weapons.Zero-X wrote:It'd be nice if the script wasn't compiled, and you don't have to worry about the shop owners refering to the old guns, I could easily edit that

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
I think what he's referring to is instead the fact that the shopkeeps will claim to sell you an Assault Gun, but what you'll get instead is a shotgun or something?

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
Correct, so I'm looking for the decompiled scripts of the maps with Shop owners that way I could edit the prices and the choice textwildweasel wrote:I think what he's referring to is instead the fact that the shopkeeps will claim to sell you an Assault Gun, but what you'll get instead is a shotgun or something?
Decompiling part is pretty easy, but putting the script back into order is the hard part, and quite fractly I'm not all that good with Strife scripts

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
Update
I noticed quite a few times that when you need gold for ammo, the only way to get gold is to find it, and that's usually past the part your stuck at... so now enemies drop loot!, I do hope this helps out
Also, I noticed that BlackBird will say "he" in some of her lines, please just bear with me on that when playing Pheonix
Also, heres two gameplay videos (playing as Pheonix, the first is somewhat a double post, but I thought I might as post it here too
)

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
That's looking fucking awesome, but,in my opinion, those zombies are little out of place.
Wasn't Strife's main point to fight against the Order?

Re: The Martyr (Strife mod)
Just because they use the same sprites doesn't make them zombies, except for maybe the Imperial Reaper who is a mutant, either way, The Order isn't entirely humanMr.Green wrote:That's looking fraking awesome, but,in my opinion, those zombies are little out of place.

PHOENIXZero-X wrote:Pheonix
That misspelling drives me crazy. It's "Phoenix", not "Pheonix". Other than that, pretty cool. I really don't like the zombie guys though. The Order's soldiers may not be 100% human, but they're not covered in blood and rotting flesh either. Cyborgs would make more sense.

The spelling is done on purpose, just as Malaki is spelt Malachi, didn't I already mention that a few post upWoolie Wool wrote: PHOENIX
