Possible to make 3D floors their own dedicated tag?

I thought about how inconvenient it is at times having to have 3D dummy sectors be tethered to the same tag as everything else, it meant you had to have multiple dummy sectors if you wanted to have, say, a roof over a building and then individual tags in the sectors for actions performed within said building. My idea was to have a second tag that's devoted to 3D dummy sectors so that you could just have one cover the whole area and have the tag be free for other such scripts or actions within it. Or perhaps even just allowing more than one tag per sector, then it would not only help with 3D floors but with essentially anything else that has both an overarching sector tag (Colored lighting, fog, etc) and sector actions, it could reduce a lot of clutter.

I'd rather see the map layers concept as discussed by MaxEd where 3D control sectors are on a completely different "namespace" that won't physically interact with the "play" layer... but I don't know if that's UDMF-friendly.

Multiple tags per sector is the likliest thing to happen - anything else would create a major maintenance problem.

Multiple tags per sector would be hella handy for precisely this reason! Huh... never realized how much I "needed" such a feature until now. :P

Multiple tags are in, so this can be closed. Now it's waiting for the editors to support this.

Very nice, is there a limit on that or can you pretty much tag a sector as many times as you want?

What would you want there? The only thing that could be added is 'A sector can have multiple tags' (And of course 'A line can have multiple IDs'.)

I thought that might've been it but that... also sounded underwhelming. Okay then! Just figured, maybe there might've been more to it then that is all. So, sectors and lines from the looks of it and thats it, right?

Anything to differentiate between UDMF and, say, Hexen? Or is it UDMF only?

It's UDMF only because the other formats lack the means to specify the added tags. Whatever this amounts to, it's down to the editor developers to provide a working interface, aside from specifying how these tags are to be stored in UDMF I cannot do much.

I take it actors aren't affected by this change (still only one tag per actor)?
