Re: DAE Berenstein Beers
Personally I've never heard of the Berenstain bears but my reaction could underline that this may just be a silly psychological phenomenon.
I did expect stain to be a misspelling when I first saw it in the video title, but probably because I've seen stein before in names but not stain.
It doesn't help that the cartoon intro I've watched has a strong southern US accent singing the tune, so it's possible to hear it wrong
After watching the video I did a quick google search on the topic and came to a quiz that asked about the spelling/wording of various titles and sentences. It was full of stuff I similarly hadn't come across before with a couple of exceptions. Sex and the city was one of them (the "and" being "in" according to some people), I distinctly remembered the title correctly even though the only exposure I had to it was my sister watching it on TV. My opinion on it is that the two versions sound so similar, people just remembered it incorrectly.
Another instance was the phrase uttered by darth vader to Luke, the first word of his sentence being of discussion whether it was "Luke, I am your father" or "No, I am your father". Again, given how Darth Vader had somewhat of a muffled voice it might end up sounding similar, and with the first people reiterating the sentence incorrectly, it just became accepted (How's that for die-hard fans who've seen it countless times yet remembered it wrong )

To be fair,i did saw Berenstain bears book over the years tough i never fully memorized the whole name overall,so i cant say if im a Berenstain or Berenstein guy.
As for the Darth Vader line,im a french Canadian and i always saw the movie in french, and in french he basically say 'No,Luke,I am your father'.

Re: DAE Berenstein Beers
That was a pretty good excuse for a Halloween Episode, but could we get Werewolf: The Last Warrior already?

James sure likes to make these videos with some kind of mindfuck twist in them nowadays (stuff like AVGN/Board James being the same person, Board James is a killer from another reality, and now this.)

Re: DAE Berenstein Beers
Honestly, with all the horse-hockey I've seen, this universe-hopping thing seems plausible after all. Possibly something to do with the butterfly effect - one day it's spelled "stein", then a butterfly lands somewhere and suddenly it's spelled "stain"! ...wrap your head around that!
Re: DAE Berenstein Beers
not popular in my country BUT it was on an obscure kids channel in like 2006 on TV and I flicked past it and if I had to remember it I would have put stein and not stain
Re: DAE Berenstein Beers
So where are the beers? Misleading title. 0/10. I want a refund.

Trent Hawkins took them all in the name of Zinglon.
Better luck next thread!

Can't speak for the Berenstain Bears, but I come from a dimension where Sugar We're Goin' Down by Fall Out Boy features on the soundtrack of Burnout: Revenge, rather than Dance Dance.

An interesting one I haven't seen pointed out:
... I thought "Totino's Pizza" was "Tostino's" (note the S) for the longest time until just recently... Is that just me, or...?

Probably an easy confusion between Totino's and Tostitos.cambertian wrote:An interesting one I haven't seen pointed out:
