This isn't half bad. The weapons while geared more towards the old school approach, are strong enough to be exceptional in slaughter maps, which is rare considering a lot of them are barely viable for that. I discovered that pressing the ESC key to bring up the menu after the level is finished loading will cause the game to no longer freeze when choosing a card for the remainder of the game.

I got a VM abort using Call of Doom in Brutal mode, it happened when I threw a grenade at a spawn pod with enemies around it:

I don't think I've unlocked all of the cards yet, let alone see them all.

A bugfix patch, especially for the brutal doom stuff, would help kickstart that right away.
