FIXED: Caligari_87's splash.wad: Please download

Post by Caligari87 »

Okay, I figured out the problem, and I've fixed splash.wad so it doesn't crash deep water anymore. For Grubber, please include this new version with the unofficial build as quickly as possible. Everyone else, if you already have splash.wad, redownload this one to avoid a very nasty lockup.

NOTE: This WAD only defines water splashes. The rest will come soon, but at least this one has been fixed.

The Download Link(if it doesn't work, drag-and-drop or fiddle with the address bar. geocities sucks)

It works in 2.0.96x 9 (the unofficial build) and for Doom2. What did you try?

No, it works with GZDoom. Check out MAP02 in Doom2.WAD (with SPLASH.WAD loaded, of course.)

This splash only supports warter, Sparky, that's why you could have not noticed it works. But it does, and looks exquisitely well, and quite realistic too. I love this.

Planning on "splashing" other liquids as well, Caligari?

Certainly, when I get my computer back, which should be sometime soon. Except the movers mis-labeled all the boxes! >:(

Caligari, you have just become a contributer to Water Resource Wad :D

EDIT: Well, it forced me to tweak some other effects in there, but I did it. The splashes are in the water resource wad and work a charm. Thanks Caligari :)

Well you are definitely a part of something alright, you've joined the ranks of Enjay, NiGHTMARE and solarsnowfall for contributers in the water resource wad.
