[2.1.7] Firemace problems

This is one of the weirdest bugs ever. The firemace in Heretic sometimes loads without a problem, but sometimes doesn't! It appears to be completely random and is making me crazy. None of the other weapons have this problem.

Here is an example wad:

It's really quite weird. Just do this command 15-20 times and I guarantee you'll see the bug. Don't dismiss it if it loads properly 5 times in a row, it's 100% luck. I'd say it loads properly 80% of the time.

Easily reproducable in Skulltag, but no problems in ZDoom 2.1.7.

EDIT: Okay, it happend in ZDoom too.

Oh, weird. That's true. I didn't test with ZDoom itself, but I've seen the no-maceness in Skulltag (second try) and GZDoom (sixth try).

Raven designed the weapon this way. If you place more than one in a map, it randomly picks one and only one spot to spawn at. And sometimes, it randomly chooses not to spawn at all.

So, it's not a bug but a feature? Quirky.

Maybe it could be controlled by some compatibility gameplay option, but then that would be a feature request rather than a bug report.

News to me, but I guess I didn't play Heretic that often to know. That is an interesting fact.

That's so goofy... I mean it's not even that powerful a weapon! Well, thanks for the info regarding that.
