Submerged

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Submerged

Post by Shadelight »

New features:
  • new skybox
  • new music
  • 3 new monsters!
  • good use of GZDoom features ;).
screenshots:
soon ;)

Okay, while I was playing Sapphire, I got a nice little inspiration to use a skybox for an underwater'ish level. So I started making submerged, I've got 3 rooms so far, I'll get some screenshots up tonight.

The images don't have a link so I can't see really much anything.

Shot 1 is a tad bit bland, but 2 is definitely not half-bad. I sense a moderate level of improvement, but methinks breaking away from rectangles again and again and adding consoles and lights and such would help tremendously.

shot 1 looks that way because it's only the entrance into the base! :P

What I'm saying is it looks plain. Add a light or two, or perhaps a glass roof like you have in shot one. Or better yet, both, and alternate between the two. ;)

Hmmm...nice suggestions, thanks Ace! also I just downloaded the Doom1 texture pack, should I include these in? because there aren't enough terminals and stuff in Doom2....or 2mbrown...

That flat texture doesn't really align well.

Looks quite good :thumb: . Some improvements in visuals, maybe a bit more interesting architecture and a little more variety in texture usage and you're there. Don't need to go T667, but a bit more detail won't hurt.

No, it's okay, don't delete Doom/leave the community/etc., I think your map is promising. :thumb:

Bashe, don't get all scared, nobody's leaving the community. Wait, you know what, I AM!

Anyway, this looks very nice. Good to have a new level idea. I haven't seen too many underwater maps.

Ooooh!

Just had a thought...

KoF: Fancy having some extra, water themed resources?

I have all the relevant documentation to help you out with their use, and of course I can tell you who to credit. :)
