Some idiot posted a link and thanks to the complete absence of moderators at that day it took more than 12 hours and 70 downloads to plug the hole. As a result Phobus was appointed moderator as well.

AFAIK nobody really knows who it was and although Hobbs is/was an asshole,
I won't throw shit at him without any evidence!
But when you say "improved", do you mean in terms of "level of detail", or gameplay, or what?
Hmm, both I think, but I wouldn't call it "level of detail", rather than adjusting the architecture and overall look of the map
It's not like we added just a bunch of sectors to the maps.
(Damn I start to hate this term detail)

Well I certainly wouldn't mind seeing like 200 million sectors per map.... :D Properly used though, of course....

If KDIZD get's delayed until next year, then maybe. Otherwise, Duke Nukem Forever will probably be released next year actually.

We're now assembling the credits for the project. We're doing our best to gather in all the bits that everyone did and give credit where it's due. Since the project is fairly large in scale, we want to be sure we've caught everything, so I'd like to ask for some help.

If you had a hand in this project, send me a message (PM or e-mail, no need to clutter this thread further) and give a short description of your contribution. I'll make sure you're credited appropriately. Also, if you happen to know the contributions of someone who no longer visits the forums, feel free to send those as well.

Thanks.

Edit: If you want your real name used in the credits, be sure to include that as well.

@Risen: Might it not be an idea to list, here, the list of people that you already have for the credits and a rough (so as not to give anything away) outline of what they did? Might save you all some time.

Heh, you're a little late with that, otherwise I'm sure all of the team members would have loved to have you on board

May not be a bad idea to create a new thread for it then, Risen. That way it'll get everyone's attention so that more people will know and more people will speak up. And as Phobus said, you could basically just list the people/contributions....

It's certainly been discussed before, many times. However, given how long this one has taken, I don't know if many people would be willing to make the commitment for a repeat performance, espcially considering the usual factors:

People can be called away when they least expect it, messing up plans
People have their own projects and lives to think about
We still have other community projects that quite clearly aren't going anywhere without a big jump start.

Indeed it would - and some people are more than willing to help - but seeing how the KDiZD team eroded over the time until we were left with one (very skilled) mapper I don't have any hopes for it. KDiZD took more than 2 years to complete.
